A liver EXPERTS HELP PLEASE! Detox Tea for liver and kidney (NEED HELP! PLEASE)?
I had high LFTs in a previous blood test and also pain in my lower right abdomen. I've gone on a diet and I've just bought some detox tea that supposely helps the kidneys and liver, and purifies the blood of Henry's Marketplace. I was wondering if someone could help me identify these ingrediants and told if they do work: All Organic: Cinnamon Bark, Licorice Root, ginger, Burdock Root, Dandelion Root, Cardamon Seed, Juniper Berry, black pepper, Clove Bud, Long Pepper Berry, Chinese Amur Cork Tree Bark, Japanese Honeysuckle Flower, Forsythia Fruit, Gardenia Flower, skullcap root, Black Cohosh Root, Chinese Goldenthread Root, Rhubarb Root, Wax Ground, Asian Psyllium Seed. I also bought fresh Danelion Root, I was wondering if anyone knows how I should go on time-consuming it? Raw? Brew it and drink water and eat Root? And does anyone know how many times I to drink the day per day? and also Dandelion root? I really need all these questions and appreciate anyone who can help. = D
Homeopathic help you better with this response. I took the liver and kidneys Detox tea and what I noticed was more frequent, more clear urine (I had no negative side effets), which is a good sign of your body detoxification. The ingredients you have mentioned are also ingredients in the liver / kidney tea that I drink. Most herbal tea manufacturers have formulated their tea from certified and master health food experts and Homeopathic. LFT's do not measure liver function, but they do measure liver damage. This is a test helpful in asset losses such as hepatitis or a low Bile flow, such as cholestasis. I would strongly suggest that you continue to see a Dr. for your liver problems. The herbal tea will not cure a damaged liver.

How Foods can affect your body's organs
Copyright (c) 2009 Stephen Lau
Food is not just food. Beware what you eat. Food can affect all organs of the body in different ways, positively or negatively.
In Western medicine, foods, considered in terms of calories, fat, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals.
In Chinese medicine, foods, have a direct impact on body organs, and thus your overall health and wellness. Specifically, they affect as many as ten organs of the body with respect to dietary treatments and cures. Foods, with their five variants (bitter, pungent, salty, sour, sweet), their five energy (heat, heat, cold, cool, neutral), and their different movements (yes, some foods move outwards, such as inducing sweat, while others move inward, downward and upward), affects the body's organs directly or indirectly.
For thousands of years, China Doctors have been using food to the sick body to cure and treatments. For example, your eyes closely related to the liver. So if you have blurred vision or eye disease, you may have a dysfunctional liver, and foods that are good for your liver can help your eye disease. Food enhance liver health include black sesame seeds, celery, chives, leeks, mint, plum, and vinegar.
Again, your ears are related to a body organ – your kidneys. If you are hearing impaired, you may want to eat foods that help your kidneys, such as black sesame seeds, chestnuts, chives, cinnamon bark, clam, egg yolk, grapefruit, string beans, tangerine, walnut, and wheat, among others.
Similarly, your nose is linked with your lungs, your foot is related to your spleen, and your tongue is a reflection of your heart. To illustrate, for centuries the Chinese have extensively used heavy diagnosis of disease and the individual's general health status. Any discoloration of the tongue can indicate a disorder present in the body: blue tongue, a defect in the heart, yellow-green tongue disorder of the liver, whitish tongue, stomach problems. Any depression in the surface of the tongue can also indicate a health problem, such as an unbalanced line in the middle of the tongue may indicate a sore back, while the cracks on the surface The tongue shows disorder of the colon. Generally, your tongue a good indicator of your overall health. Therefore, look at your tongue in the mirror, and closely observe the size, shape, contour surface margins, and color of your tongue.
Some of the ordinary foods good for your health lung is almost mushroom, carrot, coriander, garlic, ginger, grapes, green onions, honey, leeks, licorice, lily flower, olive, pear, peppermint, radish, walnut, and water chestnuts.
Foods that help your spleen is barley, bean curd (tofu), beef, carrots, chestnuts, chicken, garlic, coriander, cucumber, eggplant, fig, ginger, green pepper, red peppers, and soybeans, among others.
Foods covered your heart including cinnamon twig, green peppers, Mung beans, watermelon, and wheat among others.
The Chinese eat foods for balance and harmony, which is based on the concept of "yin" and "yang". This concept of balance and harmony coming from "Five Elements" (wood, fire, earth, metal and water), which is not only vital for cycles in nature, but also correspond to various organs in the human body. In addition, each of these elements corresponds to a particular color. This is one of the reasons why you should eat foods with different colors such as green, yellow, red, white and black (or dark). For the Chinese, eating is an art as well as a science because it affects all body organs.
